Tata Steel Share Price in The Market Today

As of today, the 29th September 2025, the Tata Steel Share Price is at Rs 169.51, which is 1.26% up since the past closing. Shares opened at Rs 167.60 today, and already touched a high of Rs 169.94. The current UC limit is at Rs 184.14, and the LC limit is at Rs 150.66. The total market capitalization of the company stands around Rs 211907 crores.

Company Financials

The first-quarter financial results of Tata Steel are out. It shows a fall of 2.91% in the total income of Rs 53178.12 crores. Whereas, operating profits are up by 19.53% to Rs 4540.66 crores, and profit after tax is up by 116.51% to Rs 2077.68 crores. Even operating margins have improved by 23.11%. All these figures are compared on a YoY basis.

Recent News About Tata Steel

  • Tata Steel plans a capital expenditure of about Rs 15,000 crore in FY26, focusing on expansion projects such as the Ludhiana EAF plant, TSK expansion in India, and moving Port Talbot to low-emission steelmaking, backed by £500 million from the UK government.
  • Tata Steel’s share outperformed the market in September, rising over 13% amid optimism from China production curbs.

Tata Steel Share Target Price

As one of the popular stocks, Tata Steel Shares have multiple target price suggestions available in the market. Jefferies has set a price target of Rs 200 for Tata Steel. FIGW suggests Rs 190 by the end of 2025. However, Consensus analysts suggest a target price of Rs 171.83.

Recommendations on Buy or Sell

According to the moneycontrol website, 50% of the analysts suggest buying. The remaining 23% suggest holding, and 10% suggest selling out. On the other hand, Consensus analysts suggest buying these shares too.
