2.5% Jump in RVNL Share Price, As Retail Shareholding Increased, Should You Buy?

On 11th April 2025, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited or RVNL Share Price witnessed a 2.5% hike in its share prices. Analysts and market experts said that RVNL’s business acquisition in early March and its positive technical indicators are likely the causes. 

Following a downturn, the stock has been making higher bottoms on daily charts since finding support close to Rs. 315. If the stock stays above the Rs. 345 support level, trading above the 20-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) indicates a positive mood, with possible goals ranging from Rs. 400 to Rs. 415.

RVNL Share Price On 11th April

On Friday, RVNLs’ shares opened to the market at Rs. 345.00 and recorded a day-high of Rs. 348.35 and a day-low of Rs. 340.20.  At 15:59, when the market closed,  RVNL’s share price stood at  Rs. 346.30. It was nearly 2.56% higher than its previous close (Thursday) of Rs. 337.65. According to the reports and estimates on Money Control, the market capitalization was 72,204 cores; the UC Limit was 405.15, and the LC Limit was 270.15.

Company Financials

The Q3 financial results disclosed that RVNL faced a decrease in the net income by 2.6% year over year to Rs. 4,567.38 crore. RVNL’s profit decreased by 13% to Rs. 311.58 crore compared to the previous year’s third quarter. Compared to last year’s quarter, operating profits reduced by 5.07% to Rs. 231.89 crore.

  • The New Pamban Bridge, the first vertical lift sea bridge built by RVNL in India, was officially opened on 6th April 2025.  
  • This bridge improves communication in Tamil Nadu by linking Rameswaram on Pamban Island and Mandapam in mainland India.
  • In early March, The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) awarded RVNL a Rs. 554.64 crore contract to build a six-lane access-controlled road using the Hybrid Annuity Model to connect Visakhapatnam Port and NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh.

As per Trendlyne’s reports, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. has an average target of 463. The consensus estimate represents an upside of 33.70% from the last price of 346.30.
