NTPC Share Price in The Market Today

As of today, 4th September NTPC Share Price is at Rs 334.20. That is 0.01% down since the market opening, and touched a high of Rs 334.35. The current UC limit is at Rs 363.95 and the LC limit is at Rs 297.85. The total market capitalization of the company stands around Rs 323,965 crores.

Company Financials

NTPC has released its Q1 financial results for FY26. It shows a 18.54% fall in operating profits to Rs 7992.94 crores. Profit after tax has also declined by 33.95% to Rs 4003.28 crores. Total Income and Operating Margins were not clear yet. Other operating expenses were Rs 6555.10 crores, which is 82.66% higher. All the figures mentioned are compared on a YoY basis.

  • The company’s Cabinet Committee has approved NTPC’s Rs 8146 crores investment in the Tato-III Hydroelectric Project. This will boost hydroelectric capacity in Arunachal Pradesh.

NTPC Shares have multiple target price available in the market. Motilal Oswal suggests a target price of Rs 366. Whereas S&P Global and FIGW suggest a 12-month target between Rs 417 to Rs 418, highest at Rs 490 and the lowest at Rs 320. However, Consensus analysts suggest a Rs 417.12 target price for the short term.

Recommendation on Buy or Sell

According to the moneycontrol website,71% of the analysts suggest buying. The remaining 13% suggest holding, and 4% suggest selling. On the other hand, Consensus analysts suggest buying these shares on the Trendlyne platform.
