Multibagg AI Raises ₹1.5 Crore Pre-Seed to Build AI-Driven Equity Research Platform for Retail Investors

Multibagg AI, an Indian equity research and analytics startup, has raised ₹1.5 crore in a pre-seed round led by AJVC, bringing its total funding to ₹2.15 crore including an earlier ₹65 lakh from friends and family. The capital will be deployed to bolster the firm’s AI platform, expand engineering and research teams, and refine its data-driven equity research capabilities as retail participation in Indian markets rises.

Making equity research accessible to retail investors

Multibagg AI is developing an AI-native equity research platform aimed at giving retail investors access to insights traditionally reserved for institutional players. The platform applies machine learning to market data, company fundamentals and sectoral trends to generate actionable research and explainers that require little prior financial expertise.

The company notes a widening gap between the number of new investors—driven by millions of recent demat account openings—and the limited pool of registered research analysts in India. By acting as a scalable research assistant, Multibagg AI seeks to bridge this shortfall and democratise high-quality, data-backed analysis for everyday investors.

Early traction and user engagement

Since launching a beta about six months ago, Multibagg AI reports onboarding more than 10,000 users and achieving annual recurring revenue (ARR) in excess of ₹10 lakh. User engagement metrics show investors have linked portfolios totalling over ₹5,000 crore to the platform, signalling growing trust and integration into investor workflows.

Among the platform’s features, an AI assistant that answers investment queries and supplies stock insights has emerged as a heavily used tool, underscoring demand for conversational, on-demand research support.

Roadmap and product priorities

With the fresh capital, the startup plans to improve model accuracy, broaden coverage across stocks and sectors, and enhance overall user experience. The product roadmap includes deeper analytical modules tailored to both novice and experienced investors, positioning the company to scale within India and potentially into overseas markets.

As competition in fintech and wealth-tech intensifies, Multibagg AI is banking on an AI-first strategy to differentiate its offering and sustain long-term growth.

Investor backing and market context

The pre-seed round was led by AJVC, a firm active in early-stage technology investments. The deal reflects continued investor interest in AI-led financial platforms that address structural gaps in research and advice for retail markets.

With strengthened capital and early validation, Multibagg AI aims to accelerate execution at a time when Indian retail investors increasingly seek smarter, data-driven tools to navigate market volatility and make informed investment decisions.
