Kartik Aaryan Hospitalized After Severe Knee Injury During Kabir Khan Sports Drama Shoot in Mumbai, Surgery Advised
Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has suffered a serious knee injury while shooting his upcoming sports drama in Mumbai. He was rushed to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim after the mishap on set. The actor has been admitted to the hospital after the accident. Doctors have advised surgery within a day or two, followed by complete bed rest.
Accident During Action Sequence
Kartik was filming a high-octane action and sports sequence for director Kabir Khan’s sports drama. He was badly hurt while performing the scene. The injury was severe enough for the team to rush him to the hospital immediately. Initial checks and scans confirmed the extent of the damage.
Surgery and Recovery Plan
After the scans, doctors strongly advised surgery within a day or two. They expect to operate within the next couple of days. They have also recommended bed rest so Kartik can recover fully. He will resume his pending projects only after recovery. Once his health improves, he will first complete Anurag Basu’s much-awaited romantic film. The movie will mark his first on-screen pairing with South actress Sreeleela.
Film Based on Kashmir Athlete
The film Kartik was shooting is a biopic inspired by Tajamul Islam, a famous real-life athlete from Kashmir. Tajamul made history by winning a gold medal at the World Kickboxing Championship at just eight years old. The biopic tells the inspiring story of the young champion. Kartik plays a kickboxing coach in the film. He underwent months of intense physical transformation and martial arts training for the role.
Producer Debut With Dopamine Studios
Kartik is also making his debut as a producer with this sports drama. He has named his production house Dopamine Studios. Complete recovery will take time as per the doctors’ advice. The shoot is now expected to resume only after the actor recovers fully.
