The National Testing Agency has suspended Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited after a power outage halted the AIAPGET 2026 examination at a Jaipur center on Saturday. Forty-nine candidates could not complete their test when computers shut down without warning. A re-examination has been scheduled for September 1 at a different venue in the same city.
Power Failure Stops Examination Mid Test
The All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test began at 10 AM across 200 centers nationwide for 36,979 registered candidates. At Satya Sai PG College in Jaipur’s Transport Nagar area, 192 candidates were seated for the first shift. The electricity supply failed around 10 AM and remained off for nearly twenty minutes. Computers shut down instantly leaving candidates stranded without backup power. Of the 35,837 candidates who appeared across the country, 35,788 completed the exam successfully on Saturday.
Agency Removed From Panel After Lapse
NTA took swift action against the conducting agency responsible for the Jaipur center. Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited has been ousted from the NTA panel with immediate effect. The agency’s services stay suspended until all raised issues are fully resolved. NTA confirmed the disruption affected only the Jaipur center while other locations functioned normally throughout the day. The agency had managed the center operations for the entrance test.
Re-Exam Set For September At New Venue
The forty-nine affected candidates will retake the test on September 1 at a fresh location. The venue will be Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women in Jaipur. NTA conducts AIAPGET for admission to MD MS and PG Diploma courses in Ayush and Homoeopathy traditional medicine systems across India every year. The re-test will follow the same pattern and syllabus as the original examination.
Cheating Allegations Surface During Blackout
Some candidates alleged that examinees talked and copied answers during the blackout period. One candidate said invigilators ordered them to remain seated at dead computers despite the outage. The center supervisor admitted no backup power was available and reported the technical failure to NTA. A formal report has been sent for further review and appropriate action against any misconduct found during the disruption.
