Vivo is all set to launch its most powerful smartphone yet. The Vivo X500 Pro Max has been tipped with a world-first 6.85-inch 2K display and a massive 200-megapixel Zeiss telephoto camera. Product manager Han Boxiao confirmed key specifications on Weibo this week ahead of the September launch.

World-First 2K Display Panel

The Vivo X500 Pro Max will feature a 6.85-inch BOE Q11 2K Zeiss Master Color Display. This is the first smartphone panel with 2K resolution support at this size. Vivo claims motion blur during scrolling has dropped by 93 percent compared to the previous generation.

Hardware-level Demura processing and pixel-level compensation algorithms improve color uniformity by 43 percent. Brightness uniformity has increased by 22 percent. The new display consumes 21 percent less power than the older 1.5K panel while its lifespan has doubled.

Smart Under-Display Sensor

The phone includes an under-display high-precision multispectral sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. It detects light across different spectrums and color temperatures. Vivo claims it matches 98 percent of what the human eye perceives. The sensor works with 0.3-lux precision, which the company calls the best in the Android segment.

200MP Zeiss Telephoto Camera

The X500 Pro Max packs a 200-megapixel Zeiss APO Super Telephoto camera. It uses a 1/1.4-inch blueprint combined with a Samsung HP0 sensor. Hardware-based 4x ISZ (In-Sensor Zoom) enables lossless zoom at two stages. It retains fine image details.

A 400mm telephoto extender makes long-distance photography easier. For stabilization, the phone offers CIPA 7.0-rated professional stabilization. This is among the highest stabilization ratings found on any smartphone today.

Launch Timeline and Lineup

Vivo will reveal more details about the X500 Pro Max next week. The company is also preparing the standard X500 and the X500 Pro models. The entire X500 series is scheduled to launch in China in September 2026. The lineup will debut with OriginOS 7 based on Android.
