Renu Sindhu, a 66-year-old fitness entrepreneur from Ahmedabad, has become an inspiration by working out with her granddaughter in her lap. She proves that age is just a number when it comes to staying fit and healthy. Her video showing her lifting weights with her granddaughter has gone viral on social media.
Started Fitness Journey at Age 54
Renu joined a gym for the first time when she was 54 years old. She started with basic exercises and gradually built her strength. After years of training, she decided to open her own fitness center in Ahmedabad called Samurai Fitness.
Daily Workout Routine Includes Heavy Lifting
Renu performs Bulgarian split squats, hip thrusts, running, walking, squats, and weight lifting daily. She does Bulgarian split squats by keeping one foot on the ground and the other on a bench. This exercise targets the thighs, glutes, and leg muscles effectively.
Won Gold Medal in Powerlifting in 2017
In 2017, Renu won a gold medal in Female Powerlifting at a national competition. In 2019, she claimed the title of ‘Battle of the Fittest Woman of Gujarat’. The same year, she became first runner-up in Mrs Galaxy Queen Classic.
Fitness Must Be a Daily Habit
Renu believes that fitness cannot be achieved through occasional motivation. She says one must work hard with discipline every single day. She does not build muscles to show off but to stay healthy for herself and her family.
Motivated by Her Granddaughter’s Future
Renu has three children and now exercises to keep up with her granddaughter. She wants to run, play, and be part of every milestone in her granddaughter’s life. She hopes to inspire others to take charge of their health at any age.
