A Gurugram-based startup, Aamra Seniors Club, has raised $150,000 (about ₹1.2 crore) in a pre-seed funding round led by angel investors. The capital will support product development and geographic expansion as the company seeks to address growing demand for organised eldercare services in urban India.
Focus on expansion and preventive care
Aamra plans to deploy the funds to enhance its core offerings and enter key metropolitan markets. A major portion of the investment will be used to build a structured preventive ageing framework—a central element of the startup’s model aimed at delaying or reducing the onset of age-related health issues.
The company also intends to scale its senior engagement centres, community-based spaces that host physical, mental and social activities designed to maintain mobility, cognitive function and social connectedness among older adults.
Building a community for seniors
Founded in 2025, Aamra Seniors Club focuses on improving quality of life for older adults through programmes that promote active ageing, including exercise regimes, cognitive stimulation and organised social interaction. The startup positions itself as more than a care provider: it seeks to be a community platform that reduces isolation and supports emotional as well as physical well-being.
By combining healthcare insights with structured daily routines, Aamra aims to offer a holistic alternative to episodic or institution-based care, targeting seniors before major health issues arise.
Rising investor interest in eldercare
The pre-seed round reflects growing investor attention to India’s eldercare sector, driven by demographic shifts, longer life expectancy and changing family structures such as the rise of nuclear households in cities. Startups are increasingly exploring preventive and community-led models that expand the definition of care beyond clinical interventions.
With a prevention-first approach and plans for wider rollout, Aamra Seniors Club is positioning itself to capitalise on an emerging market for organised, community-oriented eldercare services across Indian urban centres.
