CredResolve Raises Pre-Series A in Merak Ventures-Led Round as AI Debt Collection Gains Traction in India

CredResolve, an AI-driven debt collections firm, has secured Pre-Series A funding led by Merak Ventures, with participation from existing backers including Unleash Capital Partners and CDM Capital. Financial terms were not disclosed. The fresh capital will support measured expansion and technology development across India.

Tapping new markets and scaling operations

The company plans to extend its footprint from ten to fifteen states, while continuing to serve more than 40 lending partners that collectively manage over $6 billion in monthly assets. Funding will be used to enhance CredResolve’s AI capabilities, expand multilingual voice support and refine lender-facing tools that streamline workflow and self-service.

Tackling fragmentation in India’s debt recovery ecosystem

India’s debt recovery landscape is often fragmented, with legacy processes, disparate systems and limited transparency impeding timely resolution of stressed accounts. CredResolve addresses these gaps through an integrated platform that combines AI-driven analytics, digital communication channels, human case management and automated legal workflows.

By unifying these components, the platform offers real-time updates for lenders, tighter operational controls, and reduced compliance risk. The approach blends automation with supervised human intervention to improve collections outcomes while maintaining regulatory and process discipline.

Multilingual AI and borrower engagement

A distinguishing feature of CredResolve is its focus on multilingual and voice-enabled AI, designed to handle India’s linguistic diversity and improve borrower engagement. Enhanced language support helps ensure clearer outreach and higher contact rates, which lenders consider critical for effective recovery.

The startup also provides a self-serve portal for lenders to configure workflows, monitor performance metrics and manage campaigns, reducing onboarding time and enabling more granular control over collections strategies.

Founders, approach and sector opportunity

Founded by IIT Roorkee alumni Balaji Koustubha and Vijay Kumar, CredResolve draws on techniques from fintech, supply-chain analytics and loan servicing to build scalable recovery tools. The product emphasis is on measurable outcomes and adaptive learning rather than legacy manual processes.

As digital lending expands in India, collections and recovery systems must evolve to keep pace. CredResolve positions itself as a technology-first solution aimed at improving recovery efficiency, borrower communication and overall trust in lending operations.
