DAAKit Technologies, a Gurugram-based hyperlocal logistics startup founded in 2024 by Chandan Singh Ghugtyal, has raised $138,000 in a pre-seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The capital will be deployed to expand dark-store infrastructure, strengthen technology, and bring on senior hires as D2C brands seek faster, lower-cost delivery solutions.
Funding to Fuel Network Expansion and Tech Upgrades
The pre-seed infusion will enable DAAKit to open 25 additional dark stores across Tier I and Tier II cities, enhance its technology stack and recruit experienced personnel. The move comes amid rising demand from online brands for faster fulfilment and tighter control over logistics costs, particularly as competition in the direct-to-consumer (D2C) segment intensifies.
Solving Core Delivery Challenges for D2C Brands
Small and mid-sized D2C companies often grapple with high marketplace commissions, fragmented warehousing and limited access to customer data. DAAKit addresses these gaps by partnering with existing storage providers to create a distributed network of small fulfilment centres and dark stores, avoiding the capital intensity of building large warehouses.
Its model allows brands to store inventory closer to end customers and pay only for the space they utilise, reducing transit times and sensitivity to last-mile costs.
Integrated, Plug-and-Play Technology
DAAKit offers a technology platform that integrates with major commerce systems such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon and Flipkart within 24 hours. The platform manages order flow, delivery tracking and uses AI-driven demand forecasting to optimise stock placement and routing, helping merchants save time and reduce operational overheads.
Traction, Performance and Service Reach
In its first year of operations the startup reported roughly ₹1.15 crore in revenue and reached early profitability with a lean headcount of six. DAAKit handles over 10,000 orders daily and is reporting month-on-month growth of 15–20%.
Using its decentralised dark-store network, the company says it can compress typical delivery times from five days to as little as one day. It already offers 30-minute and same-day delivery options in metro areas, and next-day delivery in more than 200 cities, addressing both speed and geographic reach.
Clients, Geographic Expansion and Next Steps
DAAKit has onboarded brands including Hummel, Too Yum and Dr Vaidya’s, and is expanding services into smaller urban centres such as Lucknow. Future plans include building a reverse logistics capability to streamline returns and support merchants across the full order lifecycle.
With steady growth, a decentralised fulfilment approach and technology-driven operations, DAAKit is positioning itself as a scalable logistics partner for India’s rapidly growing D2C ecosystem.
