Moe Puppy, a Gurugram-based direct-to-consumer pet care startup, has raised Rs 2 crore in a pre-seed round led by PedalStart, with participation from Zindagi Live Angel Fund and several angel investors. The capital infusion underscores growing investor interest in India’s expanding pet care sector and will fund the company’s first external growth push.

Founded in 2023 and previously bootstrapped, Moe Puppy will deploy the fresh capital across marketing, product development and operations. Priorities include boosting brand visibility, scaling customer acquisition and strengthening omnichannel distribution.
The startup also plans focused investment in research and development to broaden its product portfolio and refine formulations, emphasising safer, clean‑label and nature‑based ingredients. Operational upgrades — including supply‑chain optimisation and faster logistics — plus selective hiring across functions are part of the roadmap to support scaled growth.

Moe Puppy offers grooming and wellness products such as dry shampoos, anti‑tick sprays and other hygiene essentials tailored for contemporary pet owners. Operating on an omnichannel model, the company sells through its own platform as well as leading e‑commerce and quick‑commerce channels to widen reach and improve consumer convenience.

Despite its recent founding, Moe Puppy reports notable early traction: it says it has served over 1 lakh customers, achieved a repeat purchase rate of around 30%, and delivered nearly tenfold growth in the past year.
