NBCC Share Price Surges 4% After Redevelopment Plans Announced, Should You Buy or Not?

Today, on 17th April 2025, NBCC saw a surge of nearly 4% in its share price. The spike followed the company’s announcement of plans for redevelopments nationwide. NBCC also stated that it expects revenue of 12,000 crores in the fiscal year 2024-25, and its goal is to achieve Rs. 29,000 crores by FY 2029.

Chairman Mahadevswamy reported that NBCC wants to collaborate with Goa, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir for redevelopment projects. For its recent project from Goa, worth Rs 10,000 crore, the state government will refrain from making any contributions. NBCC will be completing the project in phases. Additionally, NBCC said that the project is a self-sustainable model.

NBCC Share Price in Today’s Market

Today, NBCC shares opened to the market at Rs. 96.20, a modest high from the last session’s close of Rs. 95.80. At 10:30 a.m., NBCC dealt its shares for Rs. 99.01 apiece. It is nearly 3.35% higher than its previous close. According to the reports and estimates on Money Control, the current market capitalisation shows 26,732 cores; the UC Limit is 105.38, and the LC Limit is 86.22.

Company Financials

NBCC is yet to release its Q4 financial results. During the third quarter of FY 2024-25, NBCC recorded a consolidated net profit of Rs. 42.43 crore, up 25.41% year over year (YoY) from Rs. 113.57 crore in the third quarter of FY24. Compared to Rs. 2,423.52 crore in the same quarter previous year, revenue from operations increased 16.65% to Rs. 2,826.95 crore. The company’s PBT (profit before tax) stood at Rs. 196.23 crore, up 28.8% year over year from Rs. 152.35 crore in Q3 of FY24.  NBCC announced an interim dividend of ₹0.53 per share, with the record date for eligibility being 18th February.

  • In March 2025, the Uttarakhand Investment and Infrastructure Development Board awarded NBCC contracts worth Rs. 438.98 crore. These initiatives include Haridwar’s Har Ki Pauri, Sati Kund, and Rodi Belwala restoration projects.
  • About 22,500 of the Amrapali housing projects have been finished by NBCC.  ​
  • Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, the CMD of NBCC, was chosen to serve as the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) Chairman from 1st April.
