OfficeBanao Raises $4 Million to Modernize India’s Unorganized Office Interiors Market with Technology-Driven Solutions

Gurugram-based proptech startup OfficeBanao has raised nearly $4 million (around ₹34–35 crore) in a funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, signalling renewed investor confidence in firms digitising India’s commercial real estate and office interiors market.

Start-up’s offering and market approach

Founded in 2022, OfficeBanao provides end-to-end workspace interiors services — from design and procurement to project execution. The company positions itself as a technology-first integrator aiming to bring structure, transparency and faster delivery to a traditionally fragmented office interiors sector.

The platform integrates architects, designers, contractors and vendors, enabling clients to visualise designs, track project progress and manage budgets on a single interface. This model is intended to reduce cost overruns, shorten timelines and improve execution quality for startups, SMEs and large enterprises alike.

Use of funds and expansion plans

OfficeBanao will use the fresh capital to expand operations across major metropolitan centres and enter select Tier II cities. A portion of the investment will be allocated to enhancing its technology platform and strengthening the internal team, supporting scale-up of project delivery and customer support capabilities.

Context: why the office interiors segment matters

India’s office interiors industry has long been characterised by multiple small vendors, limited standardisation and opaque pricing. As organisations adopt hybrid working models and prioritise employee experience and productivity, demand for customised, efficiently delivered workspaces is rising.

Proptech solutions that offer end-to-end coordination and digital project management address those pain points by improving predictability and decision-making for occupiers and real-estate owners.

Investor sentiment in proptech

The OfficeBanao round reflects broader investor interest in India’s proptech ecosystem, where capital is increasingly flowing to companies that can digitise value chains in leasing, design, construction and facilities management. Lightspeed’s participation underscores venture appetite for startups that combine technology with operational execution in the built-environment sector.

With this funding, OfficeBanao aims to scale its presence and play a more prominent role in how commercial workspaces are designed and delivered across India.
