Advanced Karate Camp in Howrah Led by Hanshi Premjit Sen Sets New Standard for Discipline and Excellence

The Advanced Karate Camp in Howrah, led by veteran martial artist Hanshi Premjit Sen, brought together practitioners from across West Bengal for focused high-performance training, emphasising discipline, technique and mental resilience over several intensive sessions.

Senior instructor guides advanced training

Hanshi Premjit Sen, an 8th Dan black belt with more than two decades in martial arts instruction, anchored the camp’s curriculum. Widely regarded in the region, he has mentored a large network of students across West Bengal and reinforced technical fundamentals alongside advanced kata and kumite drills.

Holistic emphasis: technique, discipline and mindset

Sessions combined technical refinement with conditioning, situational sparring and mental training. Sen stressed that while natural talent can provide an initial advantage, sustained progress depends on disciplined practice, consistency and sacrifice—principles he reiterated during instruction and demonstrations.

Recognition and local leadership

At the camp, Hanshi Premjit Sen conferred the Renshi title on Shihan Subrata Biswas in recognition of his leadership and contribution to regional karate development. Renshi Biswas also played a key organisational role in running the camp, ensuring high standards of safety, scheduling and coaching quality throughout the programme.

Participant response and wider impact

Participants responded with strong commitment, reporting measurable improvements in posture, timing and tactical awareness. Organisers say the camp aimed not only to raise individual performance but to strengthen the teaching network across the state, creating pathways for future coaching and competitive preparation.

For aspiring karatekas, the camp reinforced Sen’s core message: sustained effort, focused training and adherence to martial arts values are essential to long-term development and success.
