A 42-year-old Mumbai banker who weighed 96.5 kg has transformed his health by losing nearly 20 kg. Mundar Patil adopted four simple daily habits after a health scare revealed a 60 percent blockage in his artery. His story proves that small consistent changes can reverse serious health risks.

The Health Wake-Up Call

Mundar Patil worked as a banker in Mumbai and ate junk food daily. He had zero physical activity because his desk job kept him seated all day. His weight ballooned to 96.5 kg and he was already taking medication for high blood pressure.

After family pressure, Patil underwent a full health check-up before September 2025. His HbA1c level was 7.4 and his lipid profile was severely abnormal. A 2D Echo and angiography test revealed a 60 percent blockage in one artery. The cardiologist started him on more medications.

Habit 1: Cutting Junk Food Completely

Patil used to eat pizza, burgers, momos and shawarma every day. These foods are loaded with maida and sugar which increase cholesterol and body fat. He eliminated all junk food from his diet entirely.

Habit 2: Switching to Protein-Rich Foods

He stopped eating maida and sugar completely. His new diet included only healthy options like chicken, fish, Greek yogurt, eggs, oats, vegetables and nuts. These protein and fiber-rich foods helped his body burn fat while staying nourished.

Habit 3: Walking 11 Km Every Day

Patil started walking 4 km in the morning, 2 km after lunch and 5 km after dinner. He also began using stairs instead of the lift at work. This simple routine kept his body active and helped him build stamina.

Habit 4: Fixing the Sleep Cycle

He fixed his sleep schedule by eating dinner 4 to 5 hours before bedtime. Sleeping at a fixed time gave his body proper rest and recovery. Good sleep made his weight loss journey significantly easier.

From 96 Kg to 76 Kg

Patil brought his weight down from 96 kg to 76 kg by following these four habits. His blood pressure improved and he was able to reduce some medications. He now feels confident and healthy from the inside out.
