Affordable Innovative Techno Services, the operator of Rysen The International School, has secured $4 million (approximately ₹37.5 crore) in a Pre-Series A round to scale its affordable CBSE school network in India’s Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with a focus on technology-enabled classrooms and measurable learning outcomes.
Funding and Investors
The round was led by Big Capital and Singapore-based Redbrook Fund, with participation from prominent angel investors including Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar, Livspace founder Ramakant Sharma, and Unacademy co-founder Roman Saini. The backing underscores rising investor interest in outcome-driven, affordable K-12 education beyond India’s metros, where demand for quality schooling is expanding rapidly.
Founding and Mission
Founded in October 2023 by O.P. Godara, Kapil Arya, Dr. Kapil Jain, and Pritesh Meena, AITS launched its first Rysen campuses in February 2024. The company’s mandate is to deliver high-quality, CBSE-aligned education at accessible price points, tailored to the needs of families in emerging urban centres.
Expansion Strategy and Technology Focus
The fresh capital will be channelled into opening new Rysen campuses and upgrading digital infrastructure across the network. Planned investments include smart classrooms, coding and robotics labs, blended learning tools, and data-led systems to monitor student progress and enhance instructional quality.
Rysen currently operates 15 campuses across nine cities in Rajasthan, including Udaipur, Bikaner and Jaisalmer, serving more than 10,000 students with a faculty of over 500 teachers. The company aims to expand to 100 campuses and reach one lakh students within three years.
Curriculum and Learning Approach
Rysen follows the CBSE curriculum in line with NCERT guidelines and the National Education Policy 2020. Its pedagogy prioritises experiential learning over rote memorisation, emphasising concept mastery and practical application.
The curriculum integrates contemporary subjects such as coding, robotics, artificial intelligence and design thinking. Continuous assessments are used to track progress and reduce exam-centric pressure. Alongside academics, programmes in sports, arts and co-curricular activities support holistic development, with the stated objective of building confident, skilled and future-ready students while keeping schooling affordable.
