Bengaluru-based athleisure label BlissClub has secured Rs 160 crore in fresh funding to accelerate its offline expansion and broaden its product portfolio. The latest round, led by Singularity AMC, underscores rising investor confidence in India’s comfort wear and activewear market amid sustained demand for performance-led apparel.
Funding details and investor participation
Singularity AMC led the round, with participation from founder and CEO Minu Margeret, Meesho co-founder Vidit Aatrey, and existing backers Elevation Capital and Eight Roads Ventures. Singularity AMC’s co-chief investment officer, Sandeep Bapat, said the firm was impressed by BlissClub’s brand positioning in comfort wear and activewear. Indian Startup News had earlier reported fundraising discussions in May, indicating a potential Rs 250 crore round at a Rs 750 crore valuation.
Strategy: from activewear to omnichannel
Founded in 2020 by Margeret as a women’s activewear brand, BlissClub has evolved into an omnichannel athleisure business. Its footprint now spans more than 40 exclusive stores across key Indian cities, complemented by its website and leading e-commerce marketplaces. The company forayed into menswear earlier this year and plans to introduce a denim line next, aiming to deepen its presence across core apparel categories.
Financial performance
For the financial year ended March 2025, BlissClub reported operating revenue of Rs 131.5 crore, up 51% from Rs 87 crore in the previous year. Net losses narrowed by about 55% to Rs 20 crore from Rs 44 crore, reflecting improved operating efficiency and stronger unit economics amid scale-up.
Use of proceeds
The fresh capital will be deployed towards new category development, offline retail expansion, and product innovation. Margeret said active lifestyle apparel is increasingly becoming a wardrobe staple in India, adding that the funding will help the company accelerate innovation and reach a wider consumer base across channels.
Previous funding
This round follows a Rs 33 crore raise in May 2025 led by Elevation Capital. BlissClub earlier secured $15 million in a Series A in May 2022, co-led by Eight Roads Ventures and Elevation Capital, after a $2.25 million seed round less than a year prior.
