Jai Dharti Maa Foundation Hosts Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Honor Ceremony

Jai Dharti Maa Foundation marked Ambedkar Jayanti on 14 April 2026 with a commemorative ceremony at its headquarters, honouring Dr B. R. Ambedkar’s legacy as the principal architect of the Constitution and a pioneering social reformer. The event combined tributes, citations and community-focused pledges aligned with Ambedkar’s ideals of equality, education and justice.

The programme opened with floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar, followed by addresses from invited guests Satyendra Kumar Chauhan and Jaydev Banerjee. Foundation members and office-bearers facilitated the ceremony and felicitated contributors to ongoing initiatives.

Recognition of volunteers and community initiatives

Active members were presented with Dr Ambedkar Honour Certificates for sustained work in awareness campaigns and community welfare. According to the foundation, these volunteers have supported outreach in rural and underserved areas, with efforts spanning education, social inclusion, environmental awareness and local development.

Speeches highlight Ambedkar’s legacy

Founder Ravi Kumar Nishad said the organisation’s field activities are guided by Dr Ambedkar’s teachings, with regular programmes in tribal and backward-class villages aimed at improving access to learning, promoting equality and strengthening grassroots development.

Satyendra Kumar Chauhan outlined Dr Ambedkar’s multifaceted contributions as a jurist, economist, legislator, writer and reformer who fought systemic discrimination and championed the rights of Dalits, labourers, farmers and women. He noted Ambedkar’s role as independent India’s first Law and Justice Minister and his leadership in drafting the Constitution.

Chief guest Jaydev Banerjee urged attendees to advance Ambedkar’s principles through sustained commitment to equality, education and social justice, referencing his leadership against untouchability and entrenched social hierarchies.
