Jurisphere Raises $2.2 Million to Expand AI Legal Platform Worldwide

India-based legal technology startup Jurisphere has raised $2.2 million (approximately ₹21 crore) in seed funding led by Info Edge Ventures, with participation from Flourish Ventures, Antler, and 8i Ventures. The company plans to expand globally and scale a hybrid model that combines artificial intelligence with human legal expertise.

Hybrid legal workflow combining AI and human review

Founded in 2024 by Manas Khandelwal, Varun Khandelwal, and Sumit Ghosh, Jurisphere takes a different route from conventional legal software by pairing proprietary AI tools with a vetted network of lawyers. The company says relying solely on automation is insufficient for high-stakes legal work, and has therefore built human-in-the-loop safeguards into its product.

Jurisphere’s network includes more than 100 lawyers, among them US-qualified attorneys, who review every document before delivery. Clients can submit contracts via email, Slack, or the platform, receive an upfront fixed price, and get reviewed outputs within hours. The model aims to reduce reliance on hourly billing while improving turnaround time and predictability.

Proprietary models and enterprise-ready features

The platform runs on in-house AI models trained on over 7.5 lakh legal documents, enabling rapid contract analysis, legal research, translation, and timeline creation. It integrates with Microsoft Word, Slack, and email, allowing teams to adopt the workflow without major process changes.

Features such as document scanning, automated data extraction, and multi-document review are designed to cut manual effort. Jurisphere says it prioritises data security through enterprise-grade encryption and compliance-focused safeguards, targeting requirements common to banks, law firms, and large enterprises.

Client traction and expansion plans

According to the company, the platform has processed more than 12 million documents and serves over 500 business customers across sectors, including financial institutions, law firms, and corporate enterprises. Jurisphere claims its users save upwards of 30 hours per month through automation and streamlined review.

The startup has also tied up with several established Indian law firms. With competition intensifying in legal tech, Jurisphere is positioning its hybrid model—fast AI-assisted drafting backed by expert legal review—as a differentiator for accuracy, speed, and cost predictability.
