Snabbit Appoints Abhinav Ankur as Chief Business Officer

Snabbit, a home services startup founded in 2024, has appointed Abhinav Ankur as Chief Business Officer as it seeks to accelerate growth and broaden its service portfolio. The company, started by former Zepto executive Aayush Agarwal, promises on-demand household help with typical response times of 10–15 minutes.

How the service operates

Snabbit offers app-based booking for routine household tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, laundry and basic kitchen assistance. The platform follows a quick‑commerce–style model, dividing cities into small operational zones of roughly 700–800 metres to reduce worker transit times and enable faster fulfilment.

Workers on the platform choose flexible shifts and log in when available. An AI-driven system forecasts local demand and assigns the nearest trained professional, resulting in an average travel distance of about 250 metres between jobs. The company charges users between ₹150 and ₹199 per hour on average and retains approximately 20% commission per booking.

Scale, performance and future plans

Snabbit’s model has driven rapid adoption: the platform recorded over 1 million monthly orders by March 2026, with an average customer booking frequency of roughly 30 times a year. The company has raised around $55–56 million in 18 months, and its valuation surged from about $23 million in early 2025 to $180 million later that year.

Management is preparing for another funding round that could push valuation toward $450 million. Operationally, Snabbit is live in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune, with plans to expand to Chennai and Kolkata shortly. The startup is also exploring new service verticals such as home cooking, childcare and elderly care, and has signalled interest in entering B2B services.

Workforce and safety focus

Snabbit employs a predominantly women-led workforce of more than 12,000 trained professionals. The company emphasises safety through an AI-based system named “Kavach,” which supports worker allocation and incident prevention. With the appointment of Ankur to lead business strategy and continued leadership hires, Snabbit aims to consolidate its position in India’s growing organised home services market.
