AIoT startup Ubiqedge has raised ₹10 crore in seed funding led by Piper Serica, with participation from angel investors Shibam Das and Sumit Chhazed. The company plans to accelerate product development and scale deployments across water management, air quality monitoring, solar assets, and construction, while expanding its network of system integrators and OEM partners.
Chief executive Visat Patel said the company has been profitable since inception, underscoring demand for its industrial automation solutions. Ajay Modi, Partner at Piper Serica, noted that Ubiqedge’s unit economics and recurring-revenue model position it well for sustained growth.
Building Smart Solutions for Industries
Founded in March 2024 by Visat Subodhbhai Patel, Archit Khandelwal, Akhilesh Thorat, and Hetvi Shah, Ubiqedge is developing a full-stack AIoT platform designed as an operating system for industrial infrastructure. Headquartered in Vadodara with a presence in Mumbai, the company integrates rugged edge hardware with an AI-driven software layer to digitise field operations.
Its KLEON hardware line comprises weatherproof, industrial-grade devices that capture real-time data in harsh environments. The SAMASTH software platform ingests this data to deliver live dashboards, anomaly alerts, and automated reports, enabling remote monitoring and data-driven decision-making. The approach aims to replace manual checks with continuous, automated oversight to improve uptime and efficiency.
Strong Growth and Market Presence
Ubiqedge reports more than 5,000 customers and the digitisation of over 23,000 borewells, positioning it among India’s notable players in groundwater monitoring. According to the company, its AI engines have reduced issue resolution times by over 80%. Ubiqedge is also part of the NVIDIA Inception Program, gaining access to advanced compute resources, developer tools, and global mentorship.
Competitive Landscape
- Samsara and Teltonika in connected operations and telematics
- Kristnam and Datoms in industrial IoT and asset intelligence
With fresh capital, Ubiqedge aims to accelerate go-to-market efforts, deepen channel partnerships, and expand deployments across Indian industrial hubs, targeting scale in asset monitoring, predictive maintenance, and environmental compliance.
