Seven major car launches are lined up for India in September 2026, ranging from affordable hatchbacks to luxury electric SUVs. Maruti Suzuki, Kia, Skoda, Renault, BMW and Porsche are all bringing new models or significant updates to the market this month.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift On September 5
The popular premium hatchback gets a new front grille, headlamps, bumper and redesigned alloy wheels. Inside, it will feature a larger infotainment system, wireless phone charger, ventilated seats and Level 1 ADAS. A CNG-AMT option is expected for the first time on the Baleno.
Kia Sorento Hybrid Launch On September 4
Kia’s flagship seven-seat SUV will rival the Skoda Kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner. The Sorento comes with a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol strong hybrid engine producing 238hp and 380Nm torque, paired with AWD. Features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, multi-zone climate control and Level 2 ADAS.
Skoda Slavia Facelift Bookings Open
Skoda has started accepting bookings for the updated Slavia sedan with pricing expected this month. The facelift brings a new grille, LED DRLs, updated headlamps, bumper and alloy wheels. The cabin gets a 10.24-inch driver display, rear-seat massager, electric sunroof and ventilated seats. Engine options remain 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI.
Renault Triber Turbo Gets A Boost
The entry-level MPV will receive its first turbo-petrol engine this month. The new Triber Turbo packs a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo engine producing around 100PS and 160Nm torque. Minor cosmetic updates and an updated RGEP architecture are also expected.
BMW 7 Series Facelift On September 11
BMW’s flagship sedan gets an illuminated kidney grille, new split-headlamp setup and sleeker tail lamps. The interior features a 17.9-inch central screen, 14.6-inch passenger display and an 18-speaker Bowers and Wilkins audio system. It will be offered in 740i xDrive petrol and 740d xDrive diesel variants, both with 3.0-litre inline-six engines. The electric BMW i7 also gets updated with a 112.5kWh battery pack offering up to 625km range.
Porsche Cayenne Electric On September 30
The biggest launch of the month is the Porsche Cayenne Electric, arriving on September 30 at a starting price of Rs 1.76 crore. It packs a 113kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 642km. The top Cayenne Turbo Electric variant generates up to 1,156PS of power.
