Xiaomi sub-brand POCO has launched the X8 and X8 Power smartphones in India with massive Silicon-Carbon batteries and military-grade durability. Both phones pack 1.5K AMOLED displays, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and IP69K water resistance. The POCO X8 starts at an effective price of Rs 26,999 while the X8 Power is available at Rs 32,999 after launch offers.
Pricing and Availability
The POCO X8 is priced at Rs 29,999 and the POCO X8 Power at Rs 35,999. Launch offers include a Rs 2,000 coupon discount plus Rs 1,000 bank offer or exchange bonus. After discounts, the effective price drops to Rs 26,999 for the X8 and Rs 32,999 for the X8 Power. Both phones go on sale from September 11, 2026 exclusively on Flipkart at 12 PM. POCO also offers 12-month no-cost EMI starting at Rs 2,250 per month for the X8 and Rs 2,750 for the X8 Power.
Battery and Charging
The POCO X8 Power packs a 10,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with 100W Xiaomi HyperCharge. The standard X8 comes with a 9,000mAh battery and 67W HyperCharge. Both use Silicon-Carbon technology for higher energy density and longer battery life.
Display, Audio and Performance
Both phones feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 2772 x 1280 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Stereo dual speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio are included. The X8 uses a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chip while the X8 Power gets a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Both run HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 with 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
Camera and Durability
The POCO X8 features a 50MP main camera with OIS and f/1.8 aperture plus a 2MP depth sensor with a 16MP front camera. The X8 Power gets a 50MP camera with f/1.5 aperture, 6P lens, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor along with a 32MP front camera and 4K video at 30fps. Both phones carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, making them one of the most durable smartphone lineups in the segment.
