Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17C 5G internationally with a huge 6.9-inch display and a powerful 6000mAh battery. The budget smartphone debuted in Singapore at USD 279, which translates to roughly Rs 19,000 in India. The phone brings several premium features to the affordable segment, including a 120Hz smooth display and a 50MP AI camera.
Display and Design Options
The Redmi 17C 5G features a large 6.9-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate for fluid scrolling and video playback. This big screen makes watching videos and browsing social media more comfortable for users. The phone comes in three color options – Black, Brown with a vegan leather finish, and Purple.
Massive Battery Life
The smartphone packs a 6000mAh battery that delivers up to 105 hours of music playback on a single charge. Xiaomi has included 33W fast charging support to quickly top up the large battery cell. This makes the Redmi 17C 5G a strong choice for users who need long battery life throughout the day without frequent charging.
Camera and Performance Specs
The rear panel houses a 50MP primary camera with support for HDR, Night, and Portrait modes. Users can record videos at 1080p resolution with 30fps for clear footage. Under the hood, the phone runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset that supports 5G connectivity for fast data speeds. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage for apps and media.
Software and Durability
The international variant runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 software straight out of the box. The Redmi 17C 5G also carries an IP64 rating, providing protection against dust and water splashes. Xiaomi has not yet announced an official India launch date, but the phone has already received BIS certification. This signals that a domestic release is likely in the works for Indian buyers.
