Shri Sai Consultancy and Charitable Trust (SSCCT), a Maharashtra-based non-profit, is emerging as a key partner for municipal bodies in sanitation, waste management, and environmental awareness. Established in 2015, the trust focuses on measurable outcomes, linking public participation with on-ground improvements across urban and semi-urban areas.
Registered under the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950, SSCCT works closely with Municipal Corporations, Nagar Parishads, and Nagar Panchayats to implement Information, Education and Communication (IEC) programmes and scientific biomining under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) and the Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan. SSCCT combines awareness with action through a structured outreach model that promotes behaviour change. Its initiatives include street plays, school programmes, community rallies, group discussions, door-to-door campaigns, exhibitions, and environmental competitions. These efforts focus on source-level waste segregation, plastic reduction, environmental stewardship, and civic participation, with an aim to build long-term community ownership.
The trust reports management of over 50,000 tonnes of waste, surveys covering more than 1,20,000 trees, outreach to over 3,00,000 citizens, and delivery of 25-plus government-supported projects. These figures underline its ability to execute large-scale assignments while maintaining operational discipline and public accountability.
Biomining and legacy waste remediation
Beyond IEC efforts, SSCCT has executed certified biomining projects to remediate legacy waste and reclaim landfill space. At Nagar Parishad Morshi, the trust completed biomining of 3,628 metric tonnes of legacy waste. At Nagar Parishad Chimur, it achieved 100% remediation of 11,520 metric tonnes. Both projects were certified by the respective Urban Local Bodies, indicating compliance with technical and environmental standards, as well as recovery of recyclables and safe disposal of rejects.

SSCCT’s engagements span several regions, including Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Warora, Chakan, Wani, Butibori, Alandi, Mahadula, Zari Jamani, Maregaon, Ralegaon, and Babhulgaon, among others. Its portfolio covers integrated and plastic waste management, environmental surveys, project implementation, tree census exercises, IEC campaigns, and citizen engagement aligned with state and national sustainability priorities.
Governance, compliance, and financial diligence
The trust maintains audited financial statements and adheres to statutory norms. It holds registrations under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, along with GST registration. Independent audits have affirmed proper maintenance of accounts, utilisation of funds strictly for charitable purposes, and the absence of financial irregularities.
