India’s smartphone market is witnessing fresh price hikes as multiple leading brands including Realme, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus increase the cost of popular models. The primary driver behind these price revisions is the rising cost of memory components and chipsets, putting pressure on profit margins across all price segments.

Realme Leads With Multiple Model Price Hikes

Realme has raised prices on several models including the 16 Pro Plus, 16 Pro, 16T, C83 5G and C100x 4G. The Realme 16 Pro Plus now starts at Rs 53,999. The Realme 16 and 16T have seen a Rs 1,000 hike each, while Pro models carry larger increases.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Gets Rs 12,000 Price Jump

Samsung has increased the Galaxy S25 price by up to Rs 12,000 in India. This substantial hike affects the premium camera and AI-focused device that was already competing in the upper mid-range segment.

Vivo X300 FE and Y-Series Models Become Costlier

Vivo has raised the X300 FE price by Rs 10,000. The 12GB plus 256GB variant now costs Rs 89,999, while the 12GB plus 512GB variant is priced at Rs 99,999. The Vivo Y51 Pro 5G with 8GB and 256GB storage has become Rs 4,000 more expensive at Rs 37,999. Y31 5G variants have seen hikes between Rs 2,000 and Rs 3,000.

OnePlus Nord Series Sees Up to Rs 4,000 Hike

OnePlus has raised prices across five models. The Nord CE 6 Lite with 8GB and 256GB storage saw the biggest jump at Rs 4,000. The Nord 6 is Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 pricier, the Nord CE 6 is up by Rs 3,000, and the N6 and N6x models have seen Rs 2,000 increases.

Budget and Mid-Range Phones Also Affected

Unlike previous trends where component cost pressure impacted only flagship devices, the current wave affects budget and mid-range smartphones too. Every phone uses RAM, storage and processors whose rising costs are squeezing entry-level margins. Customers may now have to opt for lower RAM or storage variants within the same budget. Industry watchers expect further price hikes as component cost pressure remains high.
