IMPPA President Abhay Sinha confirmed that Ranveer’s father contacted the association three days ago seeking a meeting. The senior Bhavnani will now present Ranveer’s side before the producers’ body. This comes after Ranveer’s lawyer initially refused to engage, stating the matter falls outside IMPPA’s jurisdiction. The lawyer later sent an email agreeing to meet at a mutually convenient time.

The controversy began in 2023 when Farhan Akhtar released a promo introducing Ranveer Singh as the new Don. He was set to follow Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in the iconic franchise. Farhan and Ritesh have submitted multiple documents to IMPPA as evidence. These include the original Don 3 promo featuring Ranveer.
