TCL, the brand known for its popular smart TVs, has unveiled the new P80 series smartphones at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The lineup includes three models – the TCL P80, TCL P80 Pro, and the flagship TCL P80 Ultra. These phones offer impressive displays, large batteries with fast charging, and powerful camera systems. TCL has not yet announced pricing for any of the three models.
TCL P80 Ultra Leads the Series with Dimensity 7400 Elite Chip
The TCL P80 Ultra runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite processor with 8GB RAM plus 16GB RAM expansion and up to 512GB storage. It packs a 5800mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the back. The front has a 32MP selfie camera. The Ultra comes in Sunlight Gold, Burgundy, and Midnight Blue colors. It also features the industry-exclusive NXTPAPER technology with a dedicated NXTPAPER key.
TCL P80 Pro Adds NXTPAPER Display Technology
The P80 Pro shares the same display, battery, OS, camera, and chipset as the standard P80 model. It offers 8GB plus 16GB RAM expansion with up to 512GB storage. The Pro model stands out with NXTPAPER technology that delivers anti-glare and reflection-free viewing even in low light. This makes the phone function like an e-reader while keeping eyes comfortable throughout the day.
Standard TCL P80 Offers 5000mAh Battery and 50MP Camera
The standard TCL P80 features a 6.83-inch AMOLED Sunlight display with 1.5K resolution, 3200 nits peak brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Elite processor with 8GB plus 16GB RAM expansion and 256GB storage. The 5000mAh battery supports 45W fast charging. The rear camera has a 50MP main sensor with OIS plus EIS and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The phone runs Android 16 with four major Android upgrades promised. Other features include Google Gemini, Circle to Search, IP68 dust and water resistance, Bluetooth 5.4, dual SIM, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device is 7.5mm thin and weighs 178 grams. It comes in Sunlight Gold and Midnight Blue.
